I have been eating Russo's subs since the early 80's and the winning formula has remained consistent. I get the Classic Russo with oil and crushed pepper on that delicious bread they use. There is nothing better. It's a WPB classic!

Russos subs are a West Palm fav. Always freshly made and will customize if you want. The bread has a sweetness to it, similar to Hawaiian bread, yum! Never had a bad meal here.

Love russos. We come here once a week or so for lunch. Lots of cops and county employees eat here, so you know it's good. Get the Russo with oil and vinegar and some red pepper flakes. You won't regret it! The meatball is also awesome.

I've driven past this place a million times and finally decided to give it a shot. I thought something was odd when there were only 5 items on the menu. I ordered the Italian thinking everything else just sounded like a sandwich you would find in your second grade lunch box. Sandwich was premade and just sitting there. I was offered oil and red pepper on my sandwich which I accepted. These two items were already pre packages and throw into my bag for me to add to the sandwich myself. The sandwich itself was just a sad example of laziness. There was one thick slice of each meat. When have you ever heard of anyone asking for their cold cuts to be cut thick? This was the poorest excuse of a sub I've ever had. I should've driven further until I found something else.

This is the best sub place ever. I've been a fan since I was a little kid, when my mom used to take my sister and I to Russo's to get a sub after school or after sports practices. The selection is not really big, but everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic. What really makes Russo's special is the bread, I think. Yeah, you might think bread can't make THAT big of a difference in a sub, but try the bread from Russo's and you'll see what I mean. It's got a slight sweetness that mixes perfectly with meat and cheese that makes a Russo's sub a little piece of heaven. Expect this place to be very crowded at lunchtime, but if the line is long, don't get disheartened -- Russo's is well worth the wait.

I went here due to its close Proximity to my place, and finding the name enough to check out. Id like to say.. I love subs usually, and these were off par with my expectations. Their large sub comes with whatever you ask for, and more. But, when I walked in, the place had flies flying around. Thats not something I find should happen in a restaurant. The other issue was, the sauce was kind of chunky. I still finished it (a meatball sub) but I wasn't feeling too well after I ate it. The staff was friendly by any means, and I had a chocolate chip cookie that was fresh baked, which was decent. Everything was too over priced for the quality.

Best best subs EVER! You should get the Russos sub (it's kinda similar to an Italian) OR if you get another deli sub get it with Russo Fixings. Fast service, fresh baked bread, yummy simple meat!!! Yum!

A staple in this 3rd generation Floridian's family. My dad always took us here for lunch (a Russo) after a long morning of beach fishing. No place has better bread!

Fresh bread, fresh subs, and they have cherry coke. Their signature sub is all I ever get here + lg cherry coke. It's a great combo although a little pricey for what you actually get but their subs are never soggy or sloppy. Just like Chinese food though, you won't be satisfied for long.

I am curious if the people doing the reviews like this place because it's a tradition for them or if they really liked the food. Plus: a drive thru and very nice staff. They got my order correct and packed it all up in a bag, not missing anything. Negative- it didn't look like any type of deli meat I've had before. Not sure of the brand. They also wrapped the meat up with the condiments inside and no dressing but oil on side. Overall, I was not impressed at all. My two kids didn't even eat the meat when they took the sandwhich apart.

If you grew up on bologna sandwiches, you will probably love this place. For those of us who grew up on real Italian subs, find another place (Like Jersey Mike's). The meat resembles the type in the Oscar Meyer variety pack. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly and the place is clean.

I grew up eating here as a young kid... every Sunday morning after church, my mom and dad would bring my family here. Their fresh bread, accompanied with their freshly-sliced meats and chopped lettuce make the experience of dining here, heavenly. The dining room decor is archaic, but I kind-of like the simplicity of it because of all the childhood memories eating there... I have never had a "bad experience" eating here, and I highly recommend the Large Turkey, Lettuce, and Provolone cheese Submarine sandwich. Put a little mayo and crushed red-peppers on it and you're on your way to a very satisfied tummy as well as mouth. I will continue to return here as long as I reside in West Palm Beach and in the future, bring my kids here. But don't take my word for it, try it yourself!

I went to Russo's the other day and had my favorite, meatball and cheese sub. It was great as always, consistent quality is what it takes to stay around.

I'm 63 now and when I was 10-years old my parents used to drive to the other location across from the telephone building in downtown WPB. In those days, there was a line for takeout and you could forget about getting a seat at lunchtime. The whole phone company was there having lunch. Since I live west of the Military Trail location, I can drive over and pick up or most times eat-in without a problem. I've always loved the Russo Original. My mom likes the Italian meatball with a delicious sauce. There's great value in a Russos!

A West Palm Beach institution Russo's Subs are great. I have been eating there at least 35 years, I remember eating there as a kid. The selection is small, but tasty. The choices are: -the original Russo's(ham, salami, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle) -Meat ball & cheese -Turkey & cheese -Tuna All are served on excellent rolls, that are soft and slightly sweet. My favorite is the Classic Russo's, the traditional way to eat it is with a light drizzle of vegetable oil and red pepper flakes. I always order extra pickles on the side( I like the crunch and flavor of the pickles in every bite). This sub has not changes in over 40 years. They do not have a huge selection but that does not matter; do a few things great and you will have customers for life. I think they also serve salads. I am not to sure since I always order the same thing with out even looking at the menu.

If you ever find yourself in West Palm Beach, you need to go to Russo's. As a teen - I'd always get the Turkey and Cheese, but now that I'm older and don't care anymore - I totally went for the original Russo's - I can honestly say that I haven't had such a good sub in years. Excellent quality of meat - veggies are fresh, and the bread is delicious. There's just something about this sub I can't put my finger on - maybe it's made with love???

Russo's is a Palm Beach County classic! If you're looking for quality sub sandwiches made fresh (none of that crappy Subway stuff), this is the place. The meats are hand sliced and the bread just rocks! I recommend trying either the Russo sub, or the meatball, which is out of this world!

I am particularly partial to this place because it's been a part of my life for so long, over 15 years I think, and because it is so very delicious. It's certainly not your typical sub shop. What's special about Russo's is...well everything. They use the best bread! It's soft and slightly sweet and has that texture that allows you to smoosh it into a little ball. They use very fresh, high quality meats and cheeses and make their own pickles. I really love their pickles. Their subs are simple and fresh and you can actually taste the difference between the different components. My favorite is definitely the Russo, but the Turkey (with crumbled bacon) and the home made Meatball are really excellent too. I can't wait to visit Florida again so I can enjoy a Russo!

Not the best sub ever, but it gets the job done. A good, quick alternative to fast food. Try the sauce.
